Manchester United: Astana & West Ham

Man United are back in action on Thursday night.

Yet again, the Red Devils are playing Europa League football this season.

The Red Devils kick off their campaign at home against Astana.

Man United then return to Premier League action on Sunday when they take on West Ham in London.

Paul Pogba & Anthony Martial injury updates

This week Paul Pogba posted an update on social media which indicated he was ready to start playing again.

Pogba has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

However, on Wednesday, Pogba was missing from Man United’s main training session.

The assumption is that Pogba won’t be involved against Astana on Thursday.

Man United fans will be hoping that Pogba will return for West Ham at the weekend.

As for Anthony Martial, the French forward has also been injured in recent weeks.

Martial suffered a thigh injury which has forced him to miss games against Southampton and Leicester.

On Thursday, Martial was also a no-show at training.

No sign of Paul Pogba, Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw at United’s training ahead of the Astana game tomorrow.

Luke Shaw & Daniel James

Who will play down the left hand side for Man United in their upcoming games against Astana and West Ham?

Luke Shaw missed last Saturday’s win over Leicester through injury.

On Wednesday, along with Pogba, Shaw was training to the side.

If Shaw is out of contention, Ashley Young could play at left-back.

Meanwhile, Daniel James was absent from training today.

It’s unclear why the Welsh winger was nowhere to be seen.
